Northern most part of NE Poland from where the Heuer's originated.  Notice the spellings of the names of the villages.

All have been changed from German names to Polish names. Some still carry a resemblance to the old German names, but others have changed so much that it was difficult to decipher what cities we should be visiting. I have posted some examples on the maps such as "Hoff" the old German Village is now known as "Trzesacz"  or what was a German village called "Voigtshagen" is now known as "Wodlarka".  This can get very confusing.

Northeastern part of Poland from Stettin up to match the map above.  These maps were the ones that we marked up to find our way around.  It should be noted that most of the main roads were very much like a county trunk road in Wisconsin.  However, some of the secondary roads leading to the smaller villages were really not a lot better than some type of lane for farm vehicles and cattle.
